Home School Karate and Physical Education (PE) at McCoy’s Action Karate (MAK)
MAK has had an active Home School Karate program since 1994, providing PE credit for students in Central MA and North Eastern CT, as well as self‐defense skills, focus, self‐confidence, socialization, mental and physical safety, and security. Our home school students traditionally attend our morning classes, but all our students are encouraged to take advantage of any of our program’s classes at whatever time fits their and their family’s needs and schedule. A built‐in part of our karate program is the wide variety of attendance methods, particularly helpful during times of stress, illness, or complexity. Our students obtain class credit for promotion from attendance at any or all our classes, including:
Students do not have to select one system to attend, but can mix and match any of our classes to their needs and circumstances at the time, as each class, video through live, is designed and produced based on current needs and student levels, making for the area’s most flexible and responsive karate, fitness, and self defense programs. In addition to our classes, our home school students are also full members of MAK, so special events like Halloween parties, extra classes, guest instructors, and family events, zoom, live, or video format, are all available. |
